The wonders of Flash

Here's some video I stumbled onto over at Metafilter. Pretty cool reverse time-lapse (at least that's what they say it is).

On projection of American power

From The Belmont Club, a post on the future of American power projection in Asia. Money quote:

"It would be the supreme irony if radical Islam's lasting contribution to history turned out to be the establishment of a global American power."

Definitely worth a read.

Us and China

Are you fucking kidding me?

I've read some people are speculating a Chinese attack on Taiwan will happen around 2008, when the Chinese are hosting the Olympics. Bring it, commie!

Want to waste a couple of hours?

Look no further..

I found this little gem on metafilter, via screenhead.

Europe, the Caliphate

I'll tell you what, if Saddam apologist George Galloway can't feel safe, who can?

Wretchard from Belmont Club

I've been reading Wretchard's blog The Belmont Club for some of the best WOT and historical analyses around the net. He just outed himself by posting not only his name, but his educational background and personal history also. I feel as if we've entered a new era.
